Akureyri Airport has served as the primary air gateway to northern Iceland since 1955, when the first paved runway was completed on the narrow strip of land at the head of Eyjafjordur. Nestled between steep mountains and the longest fjord in the country, the airport is renowned for its dramatic approach and unique setting.
Today, Akureyri Airport handles a growing volume of domestic and international traffic, from scheduled services to private and charter flights. Iceland Aero Agents operates from Hangar 13 on the airport grounds, providing full FBO services including refuelling, ground handling, passenger assistance, and catering coordination for crews and passengers alike.

Akureyri Airport is located in the north of Iceland. Typically referred to as the capital of the north, Akureyri has a vast variety of entertainment and leisure.
The airport was constructed in 1955 to replace the airstrip at Melgerdismelar, a little bit further to the south of Akureyri. Although the airport is mostly used for domestic passenger flights, it is the perfect spot for private international flights.

Keflavik Airport is located on the southwest corner of Iceland. Just a 45 minute drive from the airport you will find Reykjavik city centre, with all of its culture.
Keflavik Airport is the perfect stop for bigger jets, and for fuel stops. The airport was built during World War II by the US Military, to replace an old British air strip just south of the airport.

The Reykjavik airport area has an important history for aviation in Iceland, as the first aeroplane to ever fly in Iceland took off from Vatnsmyrin in September 1919. Construction for the airport began in October 1940 by the British Army, as it served as a base for the Royal Air Force. The airport was handed over to the Icelandic Government in 1946.
